Practice Highlights
- Serve as dedicated Facility Medical Director per CMS F-Tag 841 for one or more SNF sites
- Round on a focused attending panel of approximately 30–50 patients alongside leadership responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership including physician coverage assurance, on-call backup, and escalation pathways
- Lead QAPI, infection prevention, antibiotic stewardship, and survey readiness initiatives
- Mentor and supervise on-site APPs and rotating attending physicians
- Partner directly with the Director of Nursing and facility Administrator on clinical operations
Qualifications
- Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics required
- Prior SNF or post-acute care experience strongly preferred
- CMD credential preferred, or willingness to obtain
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance, MDS, PDPM, and survey response processes
- Active South Carolina medical license or eligibility to obtain; DEA registration where applicable
