A full-time Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner opportunity is available in Evansville, Indiana, embedded within a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting. Practice Highlights

  • Full-time position with a customizable schedule
  • Provide psychiatric medication management to SNF residents
  • Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations, follow-up medication checks, and behavioral consultations
  • Manage depression, anxiety, psychotic disorders, dementia-related behaviors, BPSD, and substance-use disorders
  • Collaborate with attending physicians, psychologists, nursing, social work, and pharmacy on integrated care plans
  • Provide staff education on de-escalation techniques, behavior plans, and Beers Criteria prescribing

Qualifications

  • MSN or DNP with PMHNP board certification (ANCC)
  • Active Indiana APRN license with full prescriptive authority and DEA registration (or eligibility)
  • Experience in geriatric psychiatry or long-term care strongly preferred
  • Proficiency managing complex polypharmacy, dementia-related behaviors, and antipsychotic stewardship
