Practice Highlights
- Provide coverage in a high-acuity, hospital-based emergency department
- Manage the full breadth of emergency presentations including trauma, sepsis, stroke, STEMI, behavioral emergencies, and pediatrics
- Lead resuscitations, supervise APPs (and residents where applicable), and perform the full scope of ED procedures
- Drive key quality metrics including door-to-doc, door-to-EKG, and length-of-stay; collaborate closely with hospital medicine and consulting services
Qualifications
- BC/BE in Emergency Medicine (ABEM or AOBEM); IM/FM-trained EM physicians considered on a case-by-case basis
- Current ACLS, PALS, and ATLS certifications
- Proficiency with intubation, central lines, chest tubes, ultrasound-guided procedures, and conscious sedation
- Active Florida state license (or eligibility) and DEA registration where applicable
