<p>A leading national physician services organization is recruiting a Post-Acute Care Facility Medical Director for skilled nursing facility (SNF) sites serving the Laurinburg and Whiteville, NC region. This is a full-time, employed W-2 role that blends direct clinical rounding with meaningful facility leadership — including QAPI oversight, regulatory compliance, and APP supervision. <h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Full-time schedule: four days per week, Monday through Friday, with flexibility to select one day off Tuesday through Thursday</li> <li>On-call responsibility included as part of the medical director role</li> <li>Round on a focused attending panel of approximately 30–50 patients alongside facility leadership duties</li> <li>Serve as the designated Facility Medical Director per CMS F-Tag 841 for one or more SNF sites</li> <li>Lead facility-level QAPI, infection prevention, antibiotic stewardship, and survey readiness programs</li> <li>Provide physician coverage assurance, on-call backup coordination, and clinical escalation pathway management</li> <li>Mentor and supervise on-site APPs and rotating attending physicians</li> <li>Partner directly with the Director of Nursing and Facility Administrator on day-to-day clinical operations</li> <li>Engage with MDS, PDPM reimbursement methodology, and regulatory compliance frameworks as a core part of the role</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Board certification in Internal Medicine, Family Medicine, or Geriatrics required</li> <li>Prior SNF or post-acute care experience strongly preferred</li> <li>Certified Medical Director (CMD) credential preferred; willingness to obtain is acceptable</li> <li>Working knowledge of regulatory compliance, MDS documentation, PDPM, and survey response processes</li> <li>Active North Carolina medical license or eligibility to obtain; active DEA registration where applicable</li> </ul>
