<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited two-year Dental Hygiene Program required; Bachelor's degree preferred</li> <li>Must have passed the National Board Examination for Dental Hygienists</li> <li>Active Dental Hygiene License in Alaska or another U.S. state required; Alaska licensure preferred</li> <li>Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association required within 45 days of hire and maintained continuously</li> <li>Clinical Competency Assessment required within 3 months of hire and renewed every 3 years</li> <li>High Risk Competency certification required within 3 months of hire and renewed annually</li> <li>Demonstrated knowledge of infection control techniques, periodontal disease and treatment therapies, and proper dental instrument use</li> <li>Physical ability to maintain prolonged positioning over patients; strong manual dexterity required</li> </ul>
