About the Community

Memphis sits on the eastern bank of the Mississippi River in the southwestern corner of Tennessee — a major metropolitan area of approximately 1.3 million people with a nationally recognized arts, music, and culinary scene rooted in its blues and soul heritage. The city offers a low cost of living relative to other large metros, no Tennessee state income tax, strong private and public school options, and easy access to outdoor recreation along the river and in the surrounding Mid-South region. Suburban communities like Collierville and Arlington — where additional ED coverage opportunities exist — offer top-ranked schools, newer housing stock, and a quieter pace within easy commuting distance of the city.
