<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>Cardiovascular and Electrophysiology Laboratory at Kent Campus Hospital — a full-service, high-acuity procedural environment</li> <li>Diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization (coronary and peripheral)</li> <li>Structural heart procedures: Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) and Left Atrial Appendage Occlusion (LAAO)</li> <li>Electrophysiology procedures: ablations, EP studies, pacemaker insertions and revisions, ICD insertions and revisions, and loop recorder insertions</li> <li>Endovascular Aneurysm Repair (EVAR) performed within the lab</li> <li>Interventional neurology procedures: carotid stenting, stroke thrombectomy, cerebrovascular aneurysm embolization, and Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR)</li> <li>RN independently circulates all cardiovascular and EP procedures</li> <li>Technology in use: X-ray fluoroscopy, intra-cardiac ultrasound, MacLab and CardioLab documentation systems, and diverse cardiology monitoring equipment</li> <li>Procedural sedation administration per Bayhealth and unit protocols</li> <li>Pre- and post-procedural nursing care including complete systems assessment, real-time documentation, and structured patient handoff</li> <li>Active role in precepting and onboarding new cardiovascular lab staff</li> <li>Variable shift lengths with on-call pager responsibility covering evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays</li> </ul>
<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — Delaware license or eligibility to obtain required</li> <li>Prior experience in ICU, CVICU, IMC, or Cath Lab is required; new graduates and Med/Surg-only backgrounds are not being considered at this time</li> <li>Preferred: prior RN experience specifically within a Cardiovascular and EP Lab setting</li> <li>Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) accepted with commitment to complete a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) within 36 months; BSN preferred at time of hire</li> <li>Graduate of an accredited Nursing Diploma or degree program</li> <li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required</li> <li>Current Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required</li> <li>Proficiency with or ability to develop expertise in X-ray fluoroscopy and intra-cardiac ultrasound operation</li> </ul>
