<h3>Practice Highlights</h3> <ul> <li>First-assist role in the OR with Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) as a core procedural responsibility</li> <li>Full-spectrum perioperative involvement: pre-operative evaluation, intraoperative first assist, post-operative care, ICU management, step-down unit rounding, and outpatient clinic follow-up</li> <li>Bedside procedure scope includes chest tube removal, line removal, and wound care management</li> <li>Dedicated support of one lead surgeon, enabling deep clinical partnership and consistent workflow</li> <li>Active role in discharge planning, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives</li> <li>Team composition of four cardiothoracic surgeons and three PAs within a multidisciplinary cardiac care environment</li> <li>Stable, well-resourced flagship hospital setting with established infrastructure supporting complex adult cardiac surgery</li> </ul>

<h3>Qualifications</h3> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program</li> <li>Active NCCPA certification required</li> <li>Minimum one year of Endovascular Vein Harvesting (EVH) experience — this is a firm requirement</li> <li>Two to three years of cardiothoracic surgery, critical care, or surgical PA experience</li> <li>Current BLS and ACLS certification; active DEA registration</li> <li>Demonstrated clinical judgment managing complex, high-acuity surgical patients with a high degree of autonomy</li> <li>Active Texas PA license or eligibility to obtain</li> </ul>
