A new acute care hospital in Gainesville is building its founding therapy team. This is an opportunity to step into a modern clinical environment, collaborate with a strong interdisciplinary team, and help shape a rehabilitation program from the ground up.
This role supports both acute care and a 30-bed inpatient rehabilitation unit, working with patients recovering from surgery, illness, and injury.
Position Highlights
• Schedule: Days with rotating weekends (typically 7:30 AM – 4:00 PM; staggered as needed)
• Setting: Acute care and inpatient rehabilitation
• Compensation: $35.77 – $49.18/hour based on experience
• Sign-on bonus: $20,000
• New grads and experienced PTs encouraged to apply
What You’ll Do
• Evaluate patients and develop individualized treatment plans
• Deliver evidence-based therapy to improve mobility, strength, and function
• Monitor progress and adjust care plans as needed
• Document patient outcomes accurately and timely
• Educate patients and families to support recovery and independence
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the rehab team for coordinated care
• Support and mentor therapy assistants or students as appropriate
Qualifications
• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program
• Licensed Physical Therapist in Florida (or eligible)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire
• Open to new grads; experience preferred
