About the Community

Worcester is Massachusetts's second-largest city and the commercial, cultural, and academic hub of central New England — home to multiple colleges and universities, a thriving restaurant and arts scene, and a cost of living meaningfully lower than Boston while remaining just 45 miles from the city. The region offers four-season recreation including hiking in the Wachusett and Quabbin areas, strong public and private school options, and easy access to both Boston and Providence for weekend travel or subspecialty collaboration. For physicians seeking an urban practice environment with genuine community roots and New England lifestyle, Worcester delivers on both counts.
